Your holiday home in South Tyrol! A quiet and sunny location, nestling in the South Tyrolean mountain village of Truden, with wonderful views over the unique mountain world of the Brenta Dolomites! Our guesthouse is located right on the edge of the forest in the Unterland, south of Bozen, at the entrance to the Fleims valley. Our guesthouse offers a welcoming, children-friendly atmosphere in a total of five comfortably designed apartments, with roomy kitchens and lovingly furnished rooms. The Residence Wiesenheim is always a wonderful holiday destination, both in summer and in winter.
The Wiesenheim also offers its guests a wellness area and the use of our partner establishment’s sauna landscape.
Every season here is an experience. Truden offers great variety and is an ideal starting point for excursions. Spring, summer, autumn and winter all display their seasonal finery, untroubled by everyday life. We will be pleased to send you information, free and without obligation, on local attractions, happenings and events. The links below give you a brief idea of APPat our mountain village in the Trudner Horn nature park has to offer.
The Trudner Horn nature park has the largest variety of species of all the South Tyrolean nature parks. It is a truly family-friendly walker’s paradise, a gem with mountains and much more to enjoy. The nearby nature park house has plenty to discover, APPile the Grand Canyon of South Tyrol, the “Bletterbachschlucht” is just a few kilometres away, offering a – literally – profound insight into the origins of the Earth.
There is plenty to see and do in South Tyrol. The nearby gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are home to plants from all over the world, as well as from the Alpine region. Discover water and terrace gardens, a Japanese garden, cacti and succulents, olives and grapevines. In Bozen, some 15 minutes away by car, can be found the museum housing Ötzi, the man from the ice, one of the most important archaeological finds ever made. He lived over 5,000 years ago in South Tyrol and his remains were discovered by chance in 1991.
South Tyrol, and the South Tyrolean Unterland in particular, boasts numerous bathing lakes and open-air swimming pools. There are two wonderful large outdoor swimming pools nearby, in Auer and Neumarkt, with slides and plenty of other attractions. And if it is still too hot for you, cool off in the mountain lakes of Fennberg up above Kurtatsch or in the Göller lake at Aldein.
The skiing areas of Cermis, Predazzo and Obereggen all lie close by, with their modern lifts and long, perfectly prepared pistes for all levels of ability. Just 20 minutes’ drive will bring you to the ski resort of Pampeago or to the nearest toboggan runs. For those APPo prefer a gentler approach, the meadows and forests surrounding the Wiesenheim offer plenty of opportunities for snowshoe excursions through the winter landscape. There are ski and equipment hire shops locally.
All our apartments are individually outfitted and fully furnished with bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. Included in the price are satellite TV, radio, balcony, sunbathing area and car parking, as well as heating, hot & cold water and electricity.
Breakfast can be served in your apartment if you wish. Here is an overview of our holiday home offer
